THADEUS GONZALEZ RELEASES “THE SURGEONS” SINGLE AND VIDEO TODAY; SUMMER TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
14 June 2019…Oakland-based artist THADEUS GONZALEZ released “The Surgeons” today, the third single and video from his debut Spectra Music Group album, Silver Inside. “The Surgical Tour” summer dates have also been announced, bringing the band back to the Midwest and southern part of the U.S.

Filmed in Oakland, the video for “The Surgeons” was conceived by Gonzalez. "The song is about struggles in life that feel like they're chipping away at you physically, emotionally or financially. I'm a huge horror fan and wanted to express that loss of hope that someone might experience when trying to escape their monster but always getting cut down no matter how hard they try."
Bobby Eras (Snoop Dog, Queens of the Stone Age) and Andrew J Card (Gonzalez’s “A Murder When I Sing”) shot and directed the video. It features Evan Martin on bass, Nick Hernandez on guitar, and Rob Tucker playing drums. All of my life it’s been nothing but fight Everybody takes something till there’s nothing inside “The Surgeons” was written by Gonzalez and recorded with Scott Richards on bass, Dennis Hill on guitar, and Nathan Walker (Lit) on drums. Hill (Hagar/Satriani, Lit, Good Charlotte) also produced and Kyle Homme (Matt Costa, Sugarcult, Reel Big Fish) mixed.

Gonzalez’s work has been reviewed as “a classy and confident take on classic hard rock” (100% Rock) and having “a real punk rock sensibility” (Music Street Journal). BraveWords wrote,"The album not only illustrates Gonzalez's intent to tweak the hard rock genre but to fuel his live show." He has shared bills with Kiss, Slash, and Black Label Society
