Growing up in the small village of Vittangi in the northernmost part of Sweden, Yajna (https://www.howtopronounce.com/yajna/) has overcome clinical depression and the male-dominated world of extreme sports to become one of the most successful businesswomen in the country and now turns her focus to her first love – music. Following the release of both singles ‘You Are Beautiful’ and ‘Femenomenal’, the final addition and title-track to her empowering trilogy, The Rising Phoenix, tells of her personal journey from her lowest ebb to empowerment and success.

Growing up in a musical household with a mother who was a composer and organist, Yajna started writing music at an early age and performed frequently in the church as part of the choir. As a teenager Yajna embarked on a snowboarding career, later becoming an entrepreneur and event producer in the action sport scene, producing events for women by women with her company INACTION. Through the years she has continued to build successful companies as well as within the film industry, remaining active in the action sport scene.

In 2018 Yajna decided to follow her heart and dreams to become an artist and went solo. Her debut song as a solo artist was Natten Lång, a Swedish ballad about a painful breakup. After significant radio success in her homeland, Yajna found her own sound, an epic and dreamy mix of soul and RnB and chose London as her base, having fallen in love with a city she now calls her second home after it allowed her to spread her wings as an artist creatively. It was her she recorded her trilogy of songs, The Rising Phoenix, representing her journey from the ashes of her lowest points, which included electro-shock treatment as the result of a mentally abusive relationship and subsequent divorce, to her triumphant emergence from the fire, stronger than ever and with a message of hope, love and power.

Yajna’s life has been so remarkable that a documentary has been made, following her as she recounts events from her childhood to today. Through her work and music, Yajna wants to reach out with a message of hope, love and power, and help others into a healthy, strong and independent lifestyle.
