I’m an 18-year-old artist from Derry, Northern Ireland. I was never really happy about where I was growing up and the school didn’t interest me.
I knew I wanted something different but I didn’t know what. The biggest problem I’ve ever had in my life was mental health, which is still a reoccurring problem in my life. I never spoke out about how I felt and bottled it all up for years. Until the passing of my father, from suicide when I was 16. I was left with my mother who doesn’t work and my 2 little brothers. After my father's death, I knew I had to do something about my life. so I took to making music. I used to sit all night and make beats to the early hours of the morning (which I loved doing) but I had so much emotion bottled up that I wouldn’t share with anyone. So I decided to start writing and recording my own songs in my room and had a kind-of mini studio setup.
Music has always been the thing that has kept me whole and now I speak out about how I’m feeling.
